He incorporated portraits of people instead of using flowers, leaves, or anything else that people usually use for their cyanotype. I love how he takes photos of people and then using a transparent negative to expose the paper to it. It makes the details of the people to pop out more. Even though I wouldn't incorporate nudes into my own cyanotypes, he makes nudes elegant and meaningful.                In the above image, I chose this cyanotype since it's the least nude and is shot from the waist up.  Tseng Kwong Chi By: Amanda Schaeffer Tseng Kwong Chi  1950-1990                Tseng Kwong Chi has unique portraits that he takes standing awkwardly next to a piece of landscape, building, or even a Disney character. Chi also wears these odd sunglasses that covers his eyes with a doctor like business suite in every photograph. With his plain outfits, Chi also poses next to the attractions with minimal movement. He usually stands straight with his arms and legs straight down and looks at the camera with no facial movement. However, sometimes his portraits are posed but at a different camera angle. When he takes portraits of skyscrapers or buildings in the background, he has the camera angle position to look up at Chi to make him look more powerful. When researching about him, I came to the conclusion that Frank was very popular and was an influencer to the photography world. His still photos and American images left a permanent mark in photography and what you can do with it. Frank had his unique artistic style develop in his work and lead him be known to many people. Marco Breuer By: Amanda Schaeffer               Chemical painting has been a challenge during class. Deciding what substance to use on our paper and where to dip our paintings in, is rather hard. However, it brings about creativity and imagination on what you can make with chemical painting. I picked Marco Breuer to talk about due to the fact that his paintings are rather simple but fascinating at the same time. Some of his chemical paintings looks as if the paper was on fire or burned a little. Also, some of his work seems like you are looking down onto a plain or a piece of land.  Hiroshi Sugimoto By: Amanda Schaeffer          Hiroshi Sugimoto has a good amount of still life photographs but he also has some portraits. When I went to look for his work, I didn't really see any faces but instead objects he was capturing. I saw incredible photos of buildings, wildlife, and some images I can't even explain what I was looking at. Sugimoto's photography seems elegant and raw with the lighting he uses and what he captures in his images. I picked the above photograph of Dianne, Princess of Wales, since it's a beautiful portrait of her. I believe the lighting that was used for this piece was a soft box. For me, I see lots of details, with the top that she is wearing, to her hair and facial features. Sugimoto captures Dianne being very modest and proper with her outfit that she is wearing and also the pose that she is doing.
