Jonas Bendiksen

Image
Jonas Bendiksen By: Amanda Schaeffer               Commercial photography is what I ultimately want to do for my career. I have passion for capturing images of significant events such as engagement photos or events to capture a particular time period such as baby pictures or a completed family photo. I want to spread smiles and create happiness for people when they receive their photos from me. That's why when I was looking for a photograph on the website, I wanted to chose one that is in the same niche as I want to be in. I came across Jonas Bendiksen due to the fact I saw this picture first. His page pooped up with family photos, vacation photos, and commercial photos. I was drawn to his simple but beautiful photos that he has taken. I am excited to view more of his work and see what commercial jobs he has done in his career.                When I first saw the photo above, I was amaz...

Ralph Gibson

Image
Ralph Gibson By: Amanda Schaeffer By discovering Ralph Gibson's photographs, I soon realized that I wouldn't be a fan of his images that Gibson captures. I don't like how Gibson has these hands in his pictures because it makes me seem uneasy about them. When I look at photography, I want to be relaxed, satisfied, and entertained on what I am seeing, but Gibson's photographs are doing everything but the opposite of that. However, some of Ralph Gibson's images are not all that creepy and unsettling. Gibson also has images that have more of a cont...

Inspiration for Final Project

Lisa Kristine By: Amanda Schaeffer https://lisakristine.com/product/white-faced-beggar-nepal/ (wouldn't let me copy/paste the image)               For my final project, I wanted to challenge myself again with cyanotypes. I didn't do as well due to not coating the paper properly and making some images look washed out. However, I also wanted to do portraits since I want to do that as my career, so then I had a great idea to put the two together for my final project. I needed inspiration from someone that I didn't really heard of and also a women. I believe seeing and comprehending women photographers, I can have motivation and drive to want to be like them. That is why I chose Lisa Kristine as my inspiration for my final project on cyanotypes.              Lisa Kristine is a women photographer that takes portraits of different people around the world that are part of economical, social, or environmental...
